The Garrett G-Smart mobile app is a free tool that allows the G-Smart Bluetooth module to convert Turbo Speed and Boost Pressure signals into wireless Bluetooth data for display on a mobile device.

This important data will allow enthusiasts to see if they are operating the turbocharger within its recommended RPM limits to optimize durability and performance. Turbo efficiency and corrected air flow can be calculated when manifold absolute pressure (MAP) is known and this can help identify proper turbo selection.

Kit Selection:
Purchase of a Garrett G-Smart module is required to make this this mobile device application function. Garrett offers G-Smart kits with G-Series (flange style) and GTX (threaded) speed sensors. All kits include a wiring harness and Bluetooth module, with the option to purchase with or without a speed sensor (for enthusiasts with existing speed sensors).
PN: 923586-0003 G-Smart Kit with Flange Speed Sensor (G-Series Models 25 30 35 40 42 45 47 50 55 57 | GTX Gen II Models 47 50 55)
PN: 923586-0001 G-Smart Kit without Speed Sensor (Use if you have an existing speed sensor)
PN: 923586-0002 G-Smart Kit with Threaded Speed Sensor (GTX Gen II Models 28 30 35 ) *For all other models without an existing speed sensor port including GT, GTX Gen I, GBC, GTW, a speed sensor port can be machined into the compressor housing to accept the threaded style speed sensor and G-Smart kit.

Speed Sensor Installation Instructions:
Please review the speed sensor installation instructions before installing any speed sensor. https://bit.ly/3rxBHjG

Please review your turbocharger compressor housing before purchasing the G-Smart Module. If you have questions about selecting the correct kit, please contact your Garrett Distributor.

Easy to Install and Setup
The Garrett G-Smart Bluetooth module is easy to install and configure. Bluetooth functionality means no wires through the firewall for a quick, and clean installation. The plug-and-play harness accepts Garrett flange and threaded style speed sensors. A 12V switched power and sufficient ground connection are all you need to get started. The Sensor Setup menu is loaded with existing Garrett Turbocharger part numbers, models, compressor wheel blade counts and top-rated turbo speeds. Custom configurations can also be created for Garrett models without speed sensor ports or for non-Garrett turbochargers that utilize the same style speed sensors.

Analyze Turbo Speed and Boost Pressure
With the device paired and the car running, the mobile device screen will display turbo speed and boost pressure (if connected) in gauge and graph format. The gauge display features a constant live data feed and has a marker that freezes on peak turbo speed.

The graph plot length axis can display up to 120 seconds of live data. The live data feed can be paused by pressing the pause button on the screen. This allows you to review data points within the plot length by touch and scroll within the graph. Data older than 120 seconds cannot be recalled.

Review Performance Data
The analysis of this important data will allow enthusiasts to see if they are operating the turbocharger within its recommended RPM limits to optimize durability and turbo performance. Turbo efficiency and corrected air flow can be calculated when manifold absolute pressure (MAP) is known and this can help identify proper turbo selection.

WARNING
The use of any turbocharger product above maximum turbocharger speed is at the owner’s risk and can result in damage and premature failure. To protect the turbocharger from overspeed when operating, a speed sensor can be installed into the compressor housing to monitor shaft speed.
